AMY ZALNERAITIS lives in New York City and has been writing professionally since graduating magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco with a BA in English. While there, she was a Hearst Scholarship recipient and a member of the prestigious Honors Humanities Program. Most of her writing is lifestyle-inspired and includes a book titled Room for Improvement: The Post-College Girl’s Guide to Roommate Living, which was published by Simon & Schuster. She’s written for magazines such as New YorkSOMAFashion Week DailyUs WeeklyElle.com, Style.com, and UrbanDaddy, among others. She’s also worked as a copywriter for Victoria’s Secret, Avon, and J. Walter Thompson. In 2007, she started her own online company, GiftGenius, a content-driven site that was voted Best of the Web by InStyle magazine. Currently, she’s an associate creative director at Kenneth Cole. If you couldn’t tell, she’s a fan of the Oxford comma. Her free time consists of reading, running, taking deep breaths (usually under the instruction of a yoga teacher), and coaxing her impossibly stubborn English Bulldog into going for walks.
